A brief status of on-going project with the assistance of Kreditanstalt Fu Wiederaukbau (KFW), Germany is as follows:

1.     Maharashtra Minor Irrigation Project

The main objectives of the project are: (i) Sustainable farmer-managed minor irrigation scheme (MIS) with optimal and equitable utilization of water, (ii) Creation of methodology for effective implementation of farmers – managed MIS, (iii) Institutionalization of methodology within rural development and water conservation department. The project agreement was signed on 01.06.2000 and is scheduled to be closed on 30.06.2011. The total amount of KFW assistance for the project is EURO 17.01 Million. EURO 13.17 M has been utilized up to December 2010.
